We Are One Fabric

I had been to a spiritual retreat recently where one of the preachers taught us very powerful prayer technique. The technique is simple: pray for others. He told us that everyone who practiced this technique, achieved breakthrough results. If you have a problem with your finances, pray for all the souls related to your finances and also pray for all the souls facing a problem similar to yours. Since we are all patterns in a single fabric, when we pray for others, the whole fabric, together with you, receives the favour you requested.

What fascinated me is this insight of being part of one fabric. If there is a hole in even a single part of the fabric, the entire fabric will be discarded. For example, we will not wear a torn shirt even if the rest of the shirt looks gorgeous. So, if humanity and the entire creation wishes to be evolve into higher states of being, we have no choice but to move together. That explains why highly evolved souls keep reaching down to help the rest of the universe to move forward in its spiritual journey.

I think we can also apply this concept at micro levels. In our own lives, if we wish to evolve, we have to ensure that we pay equal attention to all areas of our lives including education, health, relationships, and finances. Similarly, in our families, organizations, nations, and internationally, we need to ensure we reach out to every member. Unless the entire fabric moves with us, we will need to just keep coming back to that weak link.
